Rebecca Obeng

Pathology

Bio

Rebecca Obeng, MD, PhD, MPH is a physician scientist who specializes in gastrointestinal and liver pathology and study studies tumor immunology and immunotherapy. She received her MD and PhD degrees from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and then earned a Master of Public Health at Harvard School of Medicine with a focus on health policy. She completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and then completed her anatomic pathology residency and gastrointestinal and liver pathology fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. She also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Emory University studying cancer immunotherapy. Upon completion of her training, Dr. Obeng joined the faculty at Northwestern University and Northwestern Memorial Hospital as an assistant professor of pathology. She is currently a tenure-track assistant professor of pathology at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
