My name Is Justin E. Owumi, MD. I am currently a PGY4 General Surgery Resident at Banner University Medical Center/University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix AZ. I was born and raised in the inner city of Boston, MA to Trinidadian and Nigerian Immigrant parents. I am the first physician in my family. I went to Colby College in Waterville ME where I received my degree in Chemistry. I attended Tufts University School of Medicine for my undergraduate medical education. I plan to complete a Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship and have a career focused on Foregut and abdominal wall surgery as well as mentoring and teaching.
